Gloria McLean Interactive Residency

"Suddenly, the screen began to dissolve . . . "

The 1500-mile-wide classroom — !

Over the last semester,
Gloria McLean has taught her movement vocabulary
& that of her teacher, Erick Hawkins,
to pre-service arts specialists (new teachers — !) at SUNY Brockport,
one of America's finest teacher preparatory schools.

Gloria's SUNY students interactively taught
elementary school students at
Inter-District Downtown School
in Minneapolis, Minnesota!

TWOFISH.

The SUNY teachers-in-training
used the McLean Movement Phrase (below)
to craft an interactive lesson plan
to teach "undercurve/overcurve" — a basic Hawkins movement

Undercurve/Overcurve

WMV (PC) VERSION

When you set the "center" into motion,
it tends to follow a curving path —
that's undercurve and overcurve. . .
Connected, it's a loop.

The links below bring you greetings from Gloria.
Thanks to all of you — !
